Paintings and photographs of Georgia Orwick and Anne Merkley inspired by the ruins of Mexico are on display in the Library from November 5, 2012 through January 31, 2013.
Journey to the Library and explore Mexico’s pre-Columbian culture through these artists’ works. You will be intrigued and transported to an ancient civilization viewing them.
Library staff have pulled books from our collection to showcase alongside these art works. Spencer Jardine has loaned some South American textiles from his personal collection to the displays.
Pick up the handouts and bookmarks, sign the guest books and enjoy the beautiful art and displays celebrating “Ancient Mayan Mysteries” through the end of January 2013. This exhibit is free and open to the public and may be viewed during regular library hours.
