Browsers,
short for Web browser, are software programs used to locate and display Web pages. The most popular
browsers are Microsoft's Internet Explorer, Mozilla FireFox, Google Chrome, and Safari. These browsers are
also considered graphical browsers and can display images as well as text. These browsers can also
display multimedia like video and sound--although additional software may be needed.1
