Intermountain West Collection
The Intermountain West Collection is a regional history resource collection with a geographic scope pertaining to Southeast Idaho, Idaho, and its bordering states. It consists of over 4,000 books that complement our manuscript collections, and includes such subjects as the Basques, Mormons, silver mining, the railroad, Fort Hall, Lewis & Clark, the Oregon Trail, and more.
The collection may be searched using the Library Catalog.
Also included in The Intermountain West Collection are a selection of maps and reprints of maps primarily covering portions of the Pacific Northwest, and, our vertical file which consists of a collection of pamphlets, newspaper and periodical clippings and other materials relating to Pocatello and Southeast Idaho. These materials are not cataloged, but finding aids are available within the Department of Special Collections.
Materials in the Intermountain West Collection do not circulate.
