Scope and Content
The Marlene S. Reid Collection is a very small collection, consisting of one manuscript box. Marlene Reid and the Bingham County Historical Society were instrumental in the restoration the Fred T. Dubois monument. The late Senator's monument was restored in 1997.
The collection also features material on the Lincoln Creek Fort Hall site and the home of Blackfoot pioneers, Nels and Emma Thompson Just. They were married in 1870, and homesteaded the Blackfoot River Valley.
The collection has historical significance because of the material on Fred T. Dubois and the Lincoln Creek Fort Hall site.
