Toussaint Dubois - Table of Contents
Scope and Content
The Toussaint Dubois Collection consists of eighteen (18) boxes: six (6) boxes of correspondence, eight (8) boxes of memorabilia, one (1) box of news clippings, and two (2) boxes of scrapbooks.
One (1) box, number seven (7) of this collection is material on the Civilian Conservation Corps, and contains some correspondence and publications on this subject.
The bulk of the collection has a date range of 1926 to 1937, but a few dates as early at 1904 can be found.
Most of the correspondence is miscellaneous and work related. There is, however, a significant amount devoted to family and friends, including her father, Senator Fred Dubois.
The collection's main focus is on her life as a news correspondent in the Washington D.C. area and Oklahoma. There is a small amount of the collection relating to her short marriage and the daughter she raised by herself.
The memorabilia consists of news clippings and articles relating to her work as well as some personal scrapbooks and a few of her childhood mementos.
